Harrington Signs Trouser Leg After Indifferent Gullane Second Day.

Triple Major winning Padraig Harrington had not had the best of days when asked to sign to sign a young man’s trouser leg following his second round in the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.

Harrington had won the morning Pro-Am on Wednesday and wearing a tartan pair of trousers in line with the ‘Tartan Wednesday’ theme.

However waiting for the Dubliner among the fans was a fellow wearing a pair of duds you would see on John Daly.

He politely asked Harrington if he would sign them.

“Okay, throw it up here,” said Harrington as the fellow then rested his leg over a spectator barrier.

However Harrington was not as pleased moments earlier in signing for a second straight 68 but after moving to five under par through nine holes but then completing the inward half in one over.

“I should have done better but there was some nice signs out there but then I haven’t hit my short irons that well over these two days,” he said.

“So it’s not bad but then it’s not great, and I am still working on this week and trying to get my game in shape for what lies ahead next week.”
