In a huge management coup defending U.S. Open champion Martin Kaymer and his Management Team has joined forces with worldwide management and marketing company, IMG.
As part of the agreement, IMG will work together with manager Philip Kaymer, coach Gunter Kessler and PR-agent Dirk Schimmel to manage Kaymer’s worldwide affairs.
Kaymer has been without a full-time management company for some after splitting some time ago with Johann Elliott of Sportyard Management, and with his brother Philip managing his business affairs.

Commenting on the partnership, Kaymer said: “I am happy to have IMG join my team. Their years of experience and our success to date will be amplified by IMG’s international golf-expertise and track record of working with the world’s best players. I am very positive about the new partnership and feel confident that I will be well represented globally.”
Guy Kinnings, Global Head of Golf for IMG, said: “We are really looking forward to working with Martin and his team and delighted he has chosen IMG to complete his global representation. Martin’s career is going from strength to strength and he is one of the most marketable players on Tour. We wish him every success in the defence of his title this week.”
Kaymer is the winner of the 2010 US PGA Championship and 2014 US Open, the 30-year-old German has won 13 international titles and joins fellow German IMG client, Bernhard Langer, in the IMG stable.
Currently ranked 19th in the Official World Golf Rankings, Kaymer, a three-time member of a victorious European Ryder Cup Team, also joined Langer as only the second German to have held the World No. 1 and to win the European Order of Merit.
