The Old Course at St. Andrews is abuzz with greens staff gearing-up for this year’s 144th Open Championship.
More than half of the 112 bunkers on the world’s most famous golf course have been reworked including two of the more noted – Hell Bunker at the 14th and the notorious Road Hole Bunker at the 17th.

In fact, it’s now only 148 days to World No. 1 Rory McIlroy tees up in the defence of golf’s oldestĀ Major having broken through to be handed the Claret Jug for a first time in capturing last year’s title at Royal Liverpool.
And when McIlroy tees up the Old Course will be hosting The Open for a 29th occasion since debuting in 1873.
