Tiger Woods Withdraws From Honda Classic Final Round – Back Complaint.

Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the final round of the Honda Classic citing a back injury.

Woods withdrew after 13 holes and just a day after shooting a 65.

However the 14-time Major winning Woods was 5-over par for the final day that included a first hole double bogey and two bogeys in his first four holes.

According to www.pgatour.com it is the sixth occasion Woods has withdrawn in his 297 PGA TOUR starts.

The Honda Classic was just Woods’ third event this year.  He was cut from the third round in last month’s defence of his Farmers Insurance Open and he then traveled to the UAE to end mid-field in the 25th anniversary Dubai Desert Classic.

Woods next event is his defence later this week at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship at Trump Doral.

And when asked of his chances of competing in this coming week’s $9m event Woods remarked: “It’s too early to tell.

“I need treatment every day until Thursday to try to calm it down. We’ll see how it is.”
