Matteo Manassero Visits Old Course, St. Andrews

Four-time European Tour winning Matteo Manassero was guest of honor at the Old Course, St. Andrews as part of Callaway’s European launch of the Big Bertha and Big Bertha Alpha drivers.

Manassero arrived in St. Andrews Thursday afternoon before meeting with special guests and a number of European Tour accredited media at the St. Andrews Links Academy practice facility.

The reigning BMW Championship winner impressed everyone present with his skill in the very wintry conditions.

Manassero then joined guests for a wonderful dinner in the New Clubhouse before the present World No. 50 found his way this morning (Fri) to the famed Swilcan Bridge and a Callaway photo shoot.

Accompanying the 20-year old Italian was England’s ‘long-drive’ champion and Callaway ambassador, Joe Miller.

The duo then met with a lucky group of Scottish youngsters and with Miller greatly impressing those present with his long-driving skills.

Manassero was then heading to London and onto the States where he will compete in next week’s WGC – Accenture Match-Play Championship.

He indicated he also been afforded an invitation to compete the following week’s PGA Tour Honda Classic ahead of teeing-up in the WGC – Cadillac Championship.

And Manassero revealed to www.golfbytourmiss.com he also accepted an invitation to compete for a first time in the Shell Houston Open being staged a week before his third Masters appearance.
