The European Tour is again on 59 watch and this time it’s Scotland’s Scott Jamieson.

Jamieson has already joined the ’29 Club’ with an outward third round nine holes of six under on the Oceanico Victoria course here at Vilamoura.

The reigning Nelson Madela Championship winner went into the closing nine with birdies at 10 and 11 but then failed to birdie the par five, 12th.

The Glaswegian did birdie 13 but we wait to see if he can play the closing nine in five under on the par 71 layout that would put him into European Tour history.

The course record is 61 set in 2007 by Martin Kaymer and in 2010  by Jeppe Huldahl.
