Ireland’s Shane Lowry and Germany’s Marcel Siem have arrived in Louisiana to take their place in this week’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Lowry has accepted an invitation into the $5.8m event while Siem earned his place in finishing top-10 in the recent Valero Texas Open.
The European duo, who won the respective Portugal Masters and French Open titles last year, are among 14 Europeans competing in New Orleans.
Also teeing up later this week on the TPC Louisiana course in suburban Avondale is European Ryder Cup stars Justin Rose and Nicolas Colsaerts along with England’s David Lynn plus 14-year old China sensation Tialang Guan, who finishing the leading amateur at last fortnight’s Masters in Augusta.
