Graeme McDowell could have found a new caddy in fiancée, Kristin Stape declaring she’s looks better and smells better than his current bagman.
Stape caddied for the former US Open in Wednesday’s Par 3 Contest.
And after posting a disappointing first round 73, that including four-putting the infamous par three, 12th hole, McDowell was asked if his future wife had a future as a Tour caddy.
“Well, she has a lot of future as she looks better, she smells better and she’s more fun to be with than my current caddy (Ken Comboy),” said McDowell smiling.

McDowell with his arm around financee, Kristin Stape and Caroline Wozniacki has her arm around World No. 2 Rory McIlroy.
“So watch this space as you never know. I might as well keep the cash in the same house.”
And McDowell was surprised during Wednesday’s prelude to the Masters in meeting former US Secretary of State and new Augusta National member, Condaleezza Rice on the fifth tee.
When McDowell was in attendance at the University of Birmingham he was coached by the same swing coach who coaches Rice, who now resides in Birmingham.
“It was a surprise for me when I saw her on the tee as we have been trying to meet for some time and while we have spoken on the phone, yesterday was the first time we met,” said McDowell.
“She’s a pretty amazing person and it was cool to meet her.”
