Rory McIlroy – Chinese Can’t Pronounce His Name Surname & Now The UAE Can’t Spell.

The Chinese just cannot get pronounce the name Rory McIlroy and now one of the UAE’s leading newspapers can’t spell the surname of the World No. 1.

During recent visits to the BMW Masters in Shanghai and then attending the ‘Duel at Lake Jinsha’ all we heard was McIlroy being introduced as – Rory McRoy.

The same happened when McIlroy joined four other players last week at a special promotion ahead of the UBS Hong Kong Open where the 23-year old again found himself as ‘Rory McRoy’.

However McIlroy would have been even more embarrassed to read the front page of today’s edition of 7 Days.

There on the front page is a photo of McIlroy standing alongside talented UAE pro Ahmed Musharekh who made his professional debut a day earlier competing in the Tuesday’s Pro-Am on the Earth Course and host venue for the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.

But there on the front page is a glaring misspelling – UAE pro bags a few tips from McLlory.
