We all know what the saying ‘You’ve got your head in the clouds’ means.
However for those in attendance at this week’s Madeira Islands Open it has given the saying a whole new meaning.
On a couple of occasions during the week clouds rolled in off the Atlantic Ocean to engulf the course, and with players lost to spectators and officials.
Under a local rule, players have to remain in place until the cloud disappears which was the case this week with no more than 15 minutes lost.
The cloud cover has presented some wonderful sights this week from high up on the Santo da Serra course as the photographs hereunder show and, of course, where the sun appears the views are even more stunning.
