Faldo Course Tougher Than The Majilis At Dubai Golf Club.

Having previously played the Majilis course at the Emirates Golf Club it was a pleasure to finally tee up on the Faldo Course.

The course was opened in 1996 and in most visits to Dubai, and especially for the Dubai Desert Classic, it was closed to play.

However thanks very much to Viren Varma from Golf in Dubai and Adrian Flanagan, who doubles as Tournament Director for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Ladies Desert Masters, myself and Loic Mannoni from www.golf-zone.com played the course on Saturday.

Loic and I commenced from the 17th tee and agreed to alternate tee positions teeing firstly off the blue tees and then the next off the shortened white tees.

Off the blue’s it measures 6,868 yards while off the white it’s a 6,201 yard test.

The Faldo course is a lot tighter than it’s bigger sister and for that reason both Loic and I agreed it was a lot tougher.

So special thanks again to Viren and Adrian for the opportunity of being allowed to play the Faldo Course.

Here is a selection of snaps from the morning:-
