Surely it would have been wiser to take a replica trophy (assuming that there is one)? If there isn’t one in existence perhaps this might be an apposite time to have one made for such jaunts in the same way that I believe there are something approaching 4 or 5 “F A Cups”.

Good suggestion but then the problem in the UK is always finding a sponsor but how great would it be to see them criss crossing the country playing some of the great UK courses.
