Richmond Park Golf Club is located just 10 miles from Central London, adjoining the historic Royal Richmond Park.
The superb tree-lined par 70, 6091 yard course was designed in 1891 by Musselburgh-born Tom Dunn, and a lessor known golf course designer contemporary of Old Tom Morris.
And as with any golf club around the globe there will often be in place ‘Temporary Rules’.
However any ‘Temporary Rules’ in place at the club nowadays are certainly a far cry from the rules the club was forced to introduce in 1940 as the British capital began to face the full onslaught of Nazi Germany.
www.golfbytourmiss.com recently came across the club’s Temporary Rules of 73 years ago and we thought we would share them with you.
