Tournament
- This is the eighth edition of the Turkish Airlines Open, as the event returns to the Race to Dubai after a six year hiatus.
- The Turkish Airlines Open is the first event on the European Swing, as six National Opens take centre stage on the schedule.
- The European Swing is the fourth of five ‘Global Swings’ included on the 2025 Race to Dubai and spans six counting events in six different countries.
- The European Swing Rankings winner receives a $200,000 bonus and entry into all events in the Back 9 – the second phase of the season.
- Turkish Airlines has returned as title partner of the Turkish Airlines Open through a partnership with the Turkish Golf Federation.
- Regnum Carya hosts the event for the fourth time, having previously hosted for three consecutive years from 2016-18.
- The field includes European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald, one of his Vice Captains, Edoardo Molinari, and Vice Captain from 2023, Nicolas Colsaerts.
- Also teeing it up is the most recent winner on the DP World Tour, Marco Penge, who sealed his first victory at the Hainan Classic in China two weeks ago. Penge plays in Türkiye this week prior to making his debut in the US PGA Championship. He secured his place at the second Major of the season after finishing in the top three of the Asian Swing Rankings.
- Amateurs in the field include 15-year-old Kai Notteboom, who is making his DP World Tour debut. The Swiss has a long relationship with Regnum Carya, having picked up a club for the first time at the venue on a family holiday, aged four years old. Noteboom has one win in World Amateur Golf Ranking counting events this year, at the Portuguese Intercollegiate Open, as well as two runner-up finishes. He competed in the R&A Junior Open in 2024 (finishing 15th), qualifying by winning his nation’s U16 championship.
- The last Turkish Airlines Open champion was eight-time DP World Tour winner Tyrell Hatton, who claimed the title after a thrilling play-off under the lights at The Montgomerie Maxx Royal in 2019. Other former winners include his fellow European Ryder Cup players Justin Rose (2017, 2018), Thorbjørn Olesen (2016) and Victor Dubuisson (2013, 2015), and four-time Major winner Brooks Koepka (2014).

Regnum Carya
- Regnum Carya is a luxurious resort in the heart of Antalya. Nestled in the picturesque region of Belek, surrounded by majestic pine trees and breathtaking landscapes. - Carya Golf Club, opened in November 2008, was designed by Thomson Perrett & Lobb Golf Course Architects (founded by five-time British Open winner Peter Thomson).
- Situated in the golfing haven of Belek, and set on undulating sand hills, the Carya course was the first classic, heathland style golf course to be built on Türkiye’s Mediterranean coast.
- Notably, it was Europe’s first floodlit golf course and is listed among the 100 best golf courses in the world.
- The 16th tee box is positioned on the roof of a villa. The unique set up came about when the former 15th hole was moved to accommodate a new development of villas and the 16th slightly altered. When the development was complete, the showroom villa was in the perfect spot to house the unique new tee box on its roof (note the villa is not used as guest accommodation).
Turkish Airlines
- Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other, returns as title partner in 2025, having previously titled partnered the event from 2013-2019.
- Additionally, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, the world’s largest amateur golf tournament organised by the flag carrier since 2013, is being held in 117 destinations in 73 countries this year.
- Turkish Airlines holds a Guinness World Record as the airline flying to the most countries.
- They hold Skytrax awards for Europe’s Best Airline and World’s Best Business Class Catering
- The fleet of 476 (passenger and cargo) aircraft fly to 353 worldwide destinations – 300 international and 53 domestics
Hole in One
- The first player to make a hole in one on the eighth hole will win one million airmiles, courtesy of Turkish Airlines
Golf for Good
- DP World’s Balls for Birdies initiative returns in 2025, donating golf balls to grassroots golf initiatives around the world to promote the game and make it more accessible
- They will deliver the total of balls to selected beneficiaries at the end of the 2025 Race to Dubai using their global logistics network. Balls will be donated as a direct result of DP World Tour members’ performances on the golf course, with one ball donated for each birdie, two balls for each eagle and 100 balls for an albatross.

2025 Race to Dubai
- The DP World Tour’s 2025 global schedule features a minimum of 42 tournaments in 26 different countries across three distinct phases of the season: five Global Swings from November 2024 to August 2025; the ‘Back 9’ from August 2025 to October 2025; and the ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs’, comprising two consecutive Rolex Series events in November 2025
- The Global Swings comprise of five individual Swings, the Opening Swing, International Swing, Asian Swing, European Swing and Closing Swing
- Each Swing will have its own identity and the top-performing player from each swing will earn US$200,000 from an overall $1,000,000 bonus pool. Swing Champions will also qualify for each event on the Back 9
- At the conclusion of the Global Swings, a further $1,000,000 bonus pool will then be shared amongst the leading ten players on the Race to Dubai (who have played a minimum of eight ‘regular’ events outside the Majors and Genesis Scottish Open
- The Swings also offer qualification into the first three Rolex Series events. The leading member (not otherwise exempt) from the Opening Swing qualifies for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, from the International Swing, Asian Swing and European Swing they qualify for the Genesis Scottish Open and from the Closing Swing the BMW PGA Championship
- Overall, the 2025 season features five Rolex Series events – the premium category of events on the DP World Tour – and four Major Championships, all of which count towards the Race to Dubai Rankings, the Tour’s season-long competition which concludes at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai
- The 2025 schedule includes the Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand and the Turkish Airlines Open, marking the Tour’s return to Austria and Turkey for the first time since 2021 and 2019 respectively
