MacIntyre Jokes ‘You Wouldn’t See Me For A While’ If He Won A Major.

It’s been another of top-Scot Bob MacIntyre’s enjoyable Question and Answer sessions with a host of weird and wonderful topics he shaed among his fans via his ‘X’ account.

The new World No. 14 responded close to 50 questions he answered in a Q & A session via his ‘X’ account during the course of his long-haul flight from the States to Singapore.

Questions starting with his favourite golf course in Scotland, other than the Renaissance Golf Club where he captured last year’s Genesis Scottish Open to how many different golf gloves would he use during the course of a weekend at tournaments.

Robert MacIntyre clearly enjoying interacting with his fans on the long-haul flight to this week’s Porsche Singapore Masters.

There were questions as to what movie he was watching on the flight – ‘Night Agent’ – to favourite club to hit under pressure – ‘Driver and hard’ – and whether he is a full left-handed – ‘No, I am all right side. Writing, throwing, kicking’.

One pertinent question was whether MacIntyre felt at this point of time if he was ahead or behind the game in terms of his career?

MacIntyre replied: “Am ahead of where I ever thought I’d be. I dreamed of playing at this level but never thought I’d get here. Now we are here we don’t stop”.

Another was would he prefer to win the Masters or the Open Championship?

He said: “I wouldn’t be picky”.

The new World No. 14 was quizzed what does he drink on a night out

He said: “Diet Coke, water Sparkling water. Athlete”.

On the drinks theme he was quizzed how many pints will be consumed should he win a major to which he responded including a ‘laughing’ emoji: “You wouldn’t see me for a while”.

MacIntyre, who is contesting this week’s Porsche Singapore Masters for a second time since making his debut in 2023, will also be returning to Augusta National for a first time since 2022.

And it comes as no surprise he should single out Augusta National as a favourite course and where he finished T12th on his debut in 2021 and then T23rd three years ago.

Of course, he delighted all his fans on his Masters debut driving down Magnolia Lane for a first occasion to the accompanying sounds of the Scottish folk band Gunna Sound.

In ’22, it was the Oban Pipe Band.

So, what will it be this year?

MacIntyre said: “That’s the big question, wait and see”.

And MacIntyre’s favourite Scottish Course apart from the Renaissance?  Loch Lomond while he said he uses just the one glove a round.

Well done, Bob.
