It has been moving day for three major champions on day two of the Asian Tour’s International Series Qatar in Doha.
South African Charl Schwartzel enjoys the early clubhouse lead by a stroke at eight-under par from fellow Spingbok golfer Louis Oostuizen who is tied second at seven-under on the host Doha Golf Club course.
Just one shot further back and in a big group on six-under is last week’s Link Hong Kong Open champ Patrick Reed.
Schwartzel, 40 has won 16 times in his pro career capped in 2011 in being fitted with an Augusta National members green jacket.

The now 42-year-old Oosthuizen went out and bought himself a new tractor in capturing the 2015 Open Championship at the Home of Golf while Texas-born Reed in 2018 joined Schwartzel as a Masters champion.
However it is a bunched leaderboard in the penultimate event of the season with currently 50 players within four shots off the lead and the afternoon half of the draw still to finish their rounds in the $2.5m tournament.
And in posting this report American Peter Uihlein has birdied three of his opening four holes to move to seven-under and one behind Schwartzel.
