For only a second time in his career Stephen Gallacher tees-up in this week’s DP World Tour (DPWT) six-round, six day Final Qualifier at Tarragona in Spain.
The recently-turned 50-year-old will join three other Scots in Friday’s starting torture test where the leading 20 will secure full 2025 membership.
Gallacher is no stranger to the host course having teed-up two years ago in his first-ever appearance in any form of Tour qualifying since securing his main Tour card in 1996.

In a recent exclusive interview with GolfByTourMiss & Daily Record the Bathgate pro revealed it will also be his intention of entering final qualifying for the US-based Champions Tour and Gallacher to tee-up on November 19th at the Soboba Springs course at Jacinto, California.
If he’s among the leading qualifiers Gallacher will return to the States for the December 3rd commencing final qualifier at TPC Scottsdale, and should all go well in Arizona he’ll be rubbing shoulders next year on the Challenge Tour with fellow Scot Colin Montgomerie.
He said: “While looking to qualify for the Champions Tour is a strong focus, I have the opportunity this week to win back my DP World Tour card so that’s why I’ll be in Spain.
“I’m also hoping that by being in Spain it will keep my game sharp before heading to the States”.
Joining Gallacher will be David Law along with Marc Warren and Ryan Lumsden who earned a final spot in the FQ at one of last week’s four host courses.
Disappointingly for the Home of Golf nation was that Lumsden was the only Scot among 13 starters on four courses to win through post last week’s rain-affected second stage of qualifying.
