Brilliant Bubba Bonus As He Donates Funding For A Second Indonesian House

Double Masters winning Bubba Watson grabbed an ace on the par-three 11th at Royale Jakarta Golf Club during last week’s Asian Tour hosting of the BNI Indonesian Masters.

Remarkably, 10-minutes later Phachara Khongwatmai aced the same hole.

On the 11th tee was a promotion benefitting Habitat for Humanity Indonesia indicating that tournament host BNI – PT Bank Negara Indonesia – would fund the construction of a house to a needy Indonesian family via Habitat for Humanity Indonesia (HBI)

Post-round, Watson reflected on the hole-in-one prize and also the broader influence of golf, noting: “The game of golf has helped tremendously around the world. For all the charity things that golf has brought to the table, it’s very special to be a part of that.

“It’s an honour and I heard there was another hole-in-one right behind me, so somebody needs to match that so there’ll be a couple families that will be helped out. So it’s an amazing thing that golf could can do that for somebody, and be able to help people.”

So, BNI donated the funds to build two houses to HBI and now we have learnt Watson, and thanks to LIV Golf Weekly, was so taken back by the initative the 46-year-old promised funding for a third building of a house for a needy Indonesian family via HBI.

Abraham Tulung, General Manager of Resource Development at Habitat for Humanity Indonesia who, in expressing his thanks to the BNI and the Asian Tour of Watson’s remarkable gesture.
