The Scottish duo of Scott Jamieson and David Law are not alone in facing one last throw of the dice if they are to conquer their goals heading to the final round of the Genesis Championship in South Korea.
The pair headed to Seoul for the final event of the ‘regular’ DP World Tour season with Jamieson looking to move inside the top-70 on the Race to Dubai money list and ensure a place in next fortnight’s elite Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship while Law faced a bigger goal of retaining full status for the 2025 season.
With a round to play on the host Jack Nicklaus Golf Club course Jamieson shares 44th place at two-under but projected to remain at his current No. 85th standing on the money list.

Law arrived in the South Korean capital ranked 130th and in one of his poorest seasons for a few years, contesting 27 events but only making the halfway cut in 15 and with a best finish of a T13th in the Volvo China Open.
The Aberdonian heads to day four of the Genesis sharing 31st place and projected to end his year at 121st which will be an agonising seven places shy of 114th and the cut-off mark in retaining full 2025 Tour membership.’
Law’s third round was a mix of seven birdies, including three in succession from his 15th but also three bogeys and a horror 7th hole double-bogey when he found water down the left side with his second at the par-5 hole.
And while Jamieson and Law fight their own battles they’re not alone including England’s five-time Tour winning Ross Fisher, who is currently projected to end his year at 114th on the Race to Dubai and right on the cut-off mark.
Here is a small selection of their DP World Tour colleagues needing an extra strong Korean final day:
Dane Soren Kjeldsen – T25th – Ranked 170th – Projected 156th
England’s Matthew Southgate – T25th – Ranked 127th – Projected 119th
Germany’s Hurly Long – T34th – Ranked 168th – Projected 158th
England’s Eddie Pepperell – T44th – Ranked 124th – Projected 122nd
England’s James Morrison – T65th – Ranked 126th – Projected 124th
England’s Ross Fisher – Missed cut – Ranked 120th – Projected 114th
NB: It goes without saying in wishing both Scott and David, along with all others mentioned good luck and hope the dice lands in your favour.
