A first in the now 52-year DP World Tour history awaits Jorge Campillo should he capture the 2024 Estrella Damm Andalucia Masters.
Campillo will head to the final tied at the top of the board tied with Frenchman Julien Guerrier at 19-under after three days on the host Royal Sotogrande course on Spain’s Costa-del-Dol.
Campbillo has posted rounds 64, 65 and a third day 68.
And we are learning that since the inaugural European Tour event no player has won, and in what is now the DP World Tour, in playing four rounds of a championship tournament bogey-free.
Now here’s what they’re saying could be a FIRST @DPWorldTour
If @jcampillogolf @callawaygolfeu does #EDAM2024 @edamsotogrande & not drop a shot over last day he will be a first ️♂️in Tour history to win with four bogey-free rounds ️♂️
Bring it on Jorge

Checking Campillo’s three scorecards he’s posted an eagle and 17 birdies BUT remarkably not one dropped shot.
It’s believed that three players competing on the PGA Tour have won without dropping a single shot so we now wait to see if the 38-year-old Campillo can not only capture a fourth Tour title but in doing so, create a Tour first.
And while Campillo is chasing a fourth Tour triumph he is also staring at breaking a personal best of winning his third Tour title – the 2018 Magical Kenya Open – with an 18-under victory effort in March last year.
Bring it on, Jorge!
