…… Albany, The Bahamas
The pre-tournament prepartions of all 20 players in this year’s Hero World Challenge have been washed-out with intermittent heavy rain spoiling Wednesday’s pro-am at the host Albany course.
Overnight rain delayed tee-times by 45-minutes and with event rookie Shane Lowry, and due to initially hit off last at 10.44am not getting to the first teee till 11.30am local time.
However Lowry managed to play just six holes of an already ‘slossy’ course when a warning siren sounded calling players from the course.

Players then returned around 1.40pm but no sooner than they did and the heavens again opened and with officials cancelling any further play.
”We only got to play six holes, so I’m looking to go six-under through six tomorrow”, said Lowry from behind the wheel of a motorised cart, and with a white towel draped over his shoulders.
All 20 players competing in this year’s event were involved in the pro-am and with European Ryder Cup captain, Luke Donald a guest participant but managing just 10 holes. Also competing was LPGA stars Lexi Thomson and Morgan Pressel
And in a rare scenario at a PGA Tour sanctioned event, here was touranment host Tiger Woods working with two amateur players on the practice putting green here at Albanyand with the 15-time major winner, who ruled himself out of competition due to a right foot injury, spending around an hour working with the pair.
