Javier Ballesteros To Tee-Up In 20th Anniversary Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Javier Ballesteros and the son of golfing legend Seve Ballesteros has been afforded an invitation to tee-up in next fortnight’s 20th anniversary of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.

Javier, who turned 31 last month, will join a very impressive line-up of golfers including European Ryder Cup Padraig Harrington and three of his team-mates who this coming week will be striving to retain the Ryder Cup.

Also, a dozen former Dunhill winners will tee-up on the three host courses – the Old Course at St. Andrews, Kingsbarns Links and Carnoustie.

Ballesteros has played just six regular European Tour events since a first at the 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic while his last appearance was at the 2019 KLM Open.

Disappointinly, he missed the halfway in all six however his appearance in Scotland.

Javier’s appearance will co-incide with a VIP screening in St. Andrews on the eve of the Dunhill Links with the movie ‘Seve’ and commissioned by the R&A, and working closely with Seve’s family including Javier, to produce the featured documentary film.

The film charts the highs and lows of Seve’s life and career and features previously unheard audio tapes as well as unseen archive to bring Seve’s unique story to life.

The movie will be released globally early in Ocotber.
