McIlroy Leads Red & Black Show Of Appreciation For Woods … “We’re All Rooting For Him”.

Rory McIlroy didn’t end a 15-month winless drought but he won huge favour and so did so many other players in showing their support for a recovering Tiger Woods.

McIlroy like so many players, including Partrick Reed, Kevin Kisner, Tommy Fleetwood, Tony Finau, Cameron Champ, Jason Day and so many others wore Woods tradtional Sunday attire of a red shirt and black trousers over the final round of the Workday WGC at The Concession.

Rory McIlroy declares: “We’re all rooting for you Tiger!”

And McIlroy, who posted a final round 71 for a 12-under par tally and a share of sixth place, summed-up the mood.

“I guess for us it’s just a gesture to let him know that we’re thinking about him and we’re rooting for him,” said McIlroy.

“Obviously things are looking a little better today than they were on Tuesday, but he’s still got aways to go. He’s got a huge recovery ahead of him.

“But I think just for everyone to show their appreciation for what he means to us out here. If there was no Tiger Woods, there would be — I just think the Tour and the game of golf in general would be in a worse place. He’s meant a lot to us, he still does mean a lot to us and I think that was just a little way to show that.”

Well down Rory and everyone at The Concession.
