MacIntyre’s Huge Stateside Career Step – Five Events In Seven Weeks Topped With Maiden Masters

Scotland No. 1 Robert MacIntyre will heads to the States on Saturday in what will be the biggest steps in his very short professional career.

The current World No. 43 will play five of the biggest events on the PGA/European Tour schedule starting next week on the West Coast of Florida and topped with a maiden Masters appearance at Augusta National.

Robert MacIntyre States-bound for five events in seven weeks

MacIntyre will tee-up in the following events:-

  • Feb 25-28                 World Golf Championship at The Concession, Bradenton, FL
  • Mar 4-7                     Arnold Palmer Invitational, Bay Hill Lodge, Orlando, FL
  • Mar 11-14                 The Players Championship, TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra, FL
  • Mar 24-28                WGC – Dell Match-Play, Austin CC, Austin, TX
  • Apl 8-11                    The Masters, Augusta National, GA

MacIntyre is into all five events by virtue of his top-50 on the World Rankings and will head to the States not needing to ‘self-isolate’ and allowed under the US Visa waiver ‘National Sporting Interest’ program.

“Robert will be staying on for seven weeks in the US as top-50 gets him into next week, Bay Hill, Arnie’s event, the Dell Match-Play and then the ‘Holy Grail’, and  golf course somewhere around about in east Georgia,” said Bounce Sports Ian Stoddard trying to keep a straight face.

“We are taking Bob’s schedule in pockets and these seven weeks coming-up with see him play up to and including the Masters and we will look at it from there.

“His schedule is coming to fruition and it’s actually come at a reasonable time as it will blend well into his 2021 season.

“There’s then six weeks that takes us up to the PGA Championship, so that will be the next pocket we’ll look at”.
