Lowry Backs JP McManus Pro-Am Shift To 2022

Shane Lowry is fully supportive of JP McManus Pro-Am organisers decision to reschedule the event to July next year.

The event had been due to be held on July 5th and 6th, 2021 at Adare Manor, Co. Limerick but will now take place from July 4th and 5th, 2022.

The postponement comes amid the continuing uncertainty around large-scale gatherings taking place both in Ireland and across the globe. With over 40,000 attendees expected from many different countries, they and Lowry felt that the smooth and safe running of the event would be better being moved back 12 months.

Adare Manor to now play host to the 2022 J P McManus Pro Am

“The way the event is run, they want to do it properly and they obviously don’t think they’ll be able to do that in July with 40,000 people around Adare Manor which I would agree with,” said Lowry.

Organizers indicated a full refund is available online to all those who purchased 2021 tickets.

The shifting of the event to 2022 will see the JP McManus being staged 10 days before the historic 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews
