Dumbarnie Links Celebrates Opening With Exciting ‘Local Club’ Offer.

It has to be the best Scottish golf lottery in recent times.

Dumbarnie Links, and the UKs newest golf course, celebrated a return to golf in Scotland by officially opening the club located along the shores of the Firth of Forth near Leven in Fife.

The course was all set to open on May 16th but due to the Scottish ‘lockdown’ the Clive Clark designed layout was forced to delay their opening to last Friday (29th May).

The stunning links gem won immediate praise from all those within the golfing media who got to inspect the course ahead of the official opening.

And to help celebrate Dumbarnie Links opening the club has very kindly extended an incredible offer to 10 of its nearest golf club neighbours.

The club offered tee times from clubs such as Leven, Lundin Links, Anstruther, Crail, Kingsbarns Links and in St. Andrews the opportunity to tee-up in two-balls taking place from early tomorrow. (Monday 1st June).

Instead of the normal £94 green fee for Fife residents, Dumbarnie Links has reduced the fee to just $29 a head.

Clubs like Crail extended the offer by way of a ballot and with the offer being so popular that 245 members went into the draw for the 48 spots and to tee-offin two-balls.

David Scott is the General Manager at Dumbarnie Links.

“We wanted to reach out to our golf neighbours and those clubs who also welcome international visitors,” said David.

“We thought it the right thing to do and it was so popular that within two days we filled the tee-time sheets.

“It’s what we do well in Scotland and it was hugely important to Dumbarnie Links we show our support so we’re absolutely delighted by the response”.

Crail Captain, Jim McArthur said:  “It is very good of Dumbarnie Links to offer so many tee times and the interest here at Crail was remarkable.

“It’s a wonderful looking golf course and every club in the region welcomes them and wishes them well.”
