GolfByTourMiss Celebrates New Decade With A 10,000th Golf-Related Post In 10th Anniversary. is proudly celebrating the new decade with news of a a 10,000th post.

It was just under 10-years ago emerged onto the golf-reporting scene reporting triple Major-winning Padraig Harrington had joined the ‘jet set’ in purchasing his own private jet.

A MILESTONE – 10,000 stories over 500 pages of

And in 10 short years has grown to proudly stand tall among our big-bucks backed website colleagues. is Fatiha ‘Tour Miss’ Betscher and Bernie McGuire.

In a very male-dominated sporting domain, Fatiha for 10-years now has been the only female regularly travelling both the PGA and European Tour’s and despite a sometimes discriminatory and ‘playing favourites’ working environment Fatiha has established herself as a respected and dedicated journalist.

However, there’s more to Fatiha’s make-up.

Fatiha ‘Tour Miss’ Betscher

She used her attendance at tour events to become expertly versed in equipment and design R&D and Performance coaching.

Fatiha also is one of just a handfull of female members of the Association of Golf Writers (AGW).

Bernie’s story in how he has now grown to become one of the more-respected golf journalists continues to amaze.  He worked for a leading Australian government politician.   After 10-years in office, the incumbent Labor Government lost a State election.  The next day in March 1988, Bernie attended an Australasian Tour event in outer Sydney.  He filled-out a coupon and dropped it into a box.  Three days later he was jetting-off business class and all expenses paid to the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.

Bernie has since attended some 24 Masters, last year celebrated 30-years in being present at The Open, was first accredited for the US Open in 1993 at Baltusrol and was present in 1993 at his first PGA Championship.

Bernie and Tiger Woods, as so evident in this photograph, have become good friends.

That’s well over 100 Major Championships!

Four years ago, Bernie became the first non-European since inception in 1938 to be appointed Secretary of the Association of Golf Writers (AGW).

What Bernie does not know about golf is not worth reporting.

And on the occasion of our 10,000th post it is opportune to thank all those who have supported over the past decade.

So, on this first day of 2020 here’s a toast to an honest, all-golf reporting website continuing to work with limited means but richly drawing on a unique working relationship with the game’s best to bring you the stories that matter most.

Happy New Year & here’s to the next decade
