Rose Crowns Season Capturing Third Success In Six Starts With Indonesian Masters Victory.

Justin Rose capped a sensational end to his season signing off with a final round 10-under-par 62 to win the Asian Tour’s season-ending Indonesian Masters by a very impressive eight shots at Royale Jakarta.

Rose, 37 was in a class of his own celebrating a third victory toast in his last six tournaments and also the 21st win of his pro career.

The World No. 6 travelled to Indonesia for a first time in his career to record scores of 62, 69, 66 and then post an eagle, nine birdies and just a lone bogey in his closing 62 and claim victory with a 29-under par tally.

In fact, with his eagle at the par five ninth hole and also after three earlier birides Rose was a remarkable five-under par for just that one hole.

All up, Rose managed one eagle, 30 birdies and only four bogeys over the four days of the rain-affected event.

“It is my last event of the season, to finish the year on a good note and still have a couple of weeks to enjoy this win over Christmas and New Years is really nice,” he said.

“It is my lowest winning score (-29) and to win by eight shots, all of that are huge positives. The largest winning margin for me in a tournament, to come here with my game in good shape, have the deal with bad weather and jetlag and stay focused on all four rounds, is something that I am really pleased about.

“I have had a dream week and I have played incredible golf. 21 under par is very god golf. Starting the week with a three-shot lead would have had to shoot 69 to win today so these guys chased me all the way to the finish, this tells you a lot about the strength of the field and all of them put forth great rounds. And a lot of them were stepping up when they needed to and performed well under pressure.”

Rose had travelled some 18,000 klms from his home in the Bahamas via New York and then Hong Kong before arriving in the Indonesian capital and now faced the same journey home before he tees-up next in the European Tour’s January 18th commencing Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

And Rose’s results to end his 19th year on Tour clearly suggest he is the best player on the planet heading to the Christmas/New Year festive season.
