Woods Avoids Hurricane Irma To See Nadal Destroy Del Porto.

Tiger Woods found a way to beat the onslaught of Hurricane Irma by taking his two children to witness Rafal Nadal win through to Sunday’s U.S. Open final at Flushing Meadow in New York.

Woods turned-up to Friday night’s semi-final showdown at Arthur Ashes Stadium wearing a beloved Oakland Raiders NFL jacket and seated in Nadal’s own supporters box.

The 14-time Major winner  was accompanied by his two children, Samantha and Charlie, and with Charlie sporting a Batman T-shirt.

Woods’ palatial Hobe Island abode lies just north of West Palm Beach and also east of Interstate 95, and with Florida officials declaring all residents east of the highway to evacuate.

Clearly, Woods did not need to be asked twice.

It isn’t the first time Woods has attend the U.S. Open, or sat in Nadal’s box as two years ago, he watched Nadal’s semi-final loss to Fabio Fognini.

But that was the not the scenario this time around with the Spaniard winning his way through a first U.S. Open final, and the goal of a 16th Major, in defeating Argentina’s Juan Martin del Porto in four sets.

And Nadal’s victory would seem to be good cause for Woods and his two children to remain in New York foir Sunday’s final rather than return to Flordia.
