Rory McIlroy Leaves 9-Year Irish Youngster Gob-Smacked … See The Video.

Nassau, Bahamas …

Rory McIlroy ensured a 9-year old Irish boy an experience to remember.

It was on Friday night during the running of a Ireland TV program called the “Late Late Toy Show” when Charlie Smyth was shown 0n stage playing McIlroy’s video game.

Ryan Tubridy, hosting the show, quizzed the youngster why Rory is so good?

“He has this thing in his blood,” said Smyth.   Tubridy then asked how’s Rory going?  Then Smyth rattled off some of McIlroy’s accomplishments:  “Rory’s No. 2 in the World, he’s won four Majors, he won the Irish Open this year and he won $11.5m for winning the FedEx Cup.

It prompted Tubridy to comment:  “Are you his agent?”

Smyth joked to Tubridy that maybe McIlroy could offer me a loan.

Tubridy said, “Well why don’t you ask him?”  And then he asked a second time but much louder:  “Well why don’t you ask him?”

That was McIlroy’s cue to make his appearance on stage leaving the 9-year old clearly gob-smacked.

McIlroy didn’t come empty handed. He brought Smyth signed copies of his game for both Xbox and PlayStation — he wasn’t sure which console the young lad had — brought tickets for Smyth and his family to attend next year’s Irish Open, where McIlroy will be the defending champion, and offered up some fantastic words of encouragement.

Well done, Rory on another great initiative.
