Greg Norman Set To Take Bigger Business Bite Re-Branding Company & Shark Logo.

The golfer long known as the ‘Great White Shark’ is set to take a bigger bite out of the business world.

Norman has revealed a company-wide re-brand to his 30-year-old organisation.

And what was once known as Great White Shark Enterprises will now be called simply The Greg Norman company (GN).

Norman’s re-positioning of his company from a mostly consumer-facing brand to one that will expand to business-to-business services was an idea that began some 18 months ago, and has involved everything from the influx of new personnel, to a new partnership with Verizon that will revolve around educational technology.

But at its core is Norman’s desire to transcend the limited world of sports, and an acknowledgement that he, too, won’t be around forever.

The re-branding of Greg Norman’s business has meant a new Greg Norman great white shark logo.

It features an evolution of the iconic shark logo and new company name, signifying the growth and transformation of what has become a massive brand which these days includes golf course design, real estate, interior design, investments, wine, clothing, eye-wear, beef, restaurants and more.

And along with the changes ‘GN’ last week announced more new partnerships were forthcoming.

“If I didn’t redirect, it was going to die on the vine,” said Norman..

Hence the announcement Norman would be re-branding and transforming his business in 2017. Say goodbye to Great White Shark Enterprises, say hello to the Greg Norman Company.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. My first step started with the creation of Great White Shark Enterprises 30 years ago,” he added.

“Over the years I have learned that no business can stand still.

“We need to build a company not just for today, but for the future. I am thrilled to say that this announcement is just the beginning of many exciting new developments to come.”

GN employed the services of Richard Kirshenbaum’s lauded New York City creative agency, NSG/SWAT to lead both the creative development and brand architecture of the new company.

Norman is probably the most successful athlete-turned-entrepreneur in history.

On the golf course, Norman captured more than 90 tournaments worldwide, including two Open Championships, and reigned as World No. 1 for 331 consecutive weeks.
