Scott Jamieson Wins Gleaming BMW M2 For Wentworth Ace.

Glaswegian Scott Jamieson has a new £45,000 motor courtesy of an ace late on day two of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

Jamieson holed out from 192-yards with a 5-iron at the par three 10th hole in his first European Tour ace.

And the 32-year old’s prize was a spanking new BWM M2.

However, Jamieson then left sponsor BMW red-faced after ending his round near 8.15pm local time and revealing prior to a photo beside one of the M2s on show that he currently drives a Mercedes.

It was Jamieson’s first hole-in-one on the European Tour and the third of his career after managing an ace during the Pro-Am at last year’s Hong Kong Open while he’s had a hole-in-one, but with just the honour on the next tee, during a US mini tour event.

He said:  “The hole-in-one at 10 was very timely as I was one over at the time and needed a good back nine, so that was a great start to the closing half.”

The hole-in-one helped Jamieson end a miserable run of four missed cuts in succession and bizarrely in six events he’s made the cut this season Jamieson’s earned the same amount as it would cost to buy the M2.

Jamieson eventually signed a 71 and a share of 34th place at one under par.
