Congratulations – Keys To The Door For Lexi Thompson.

A belated 21st birthday for Lexi Thompson.

And according to Golf Week how did Lexi celebrate.  Champagne?  Bungy Jumping? Sky Diving?

No, the American superstar who won the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Open celebrated playing golf with her brother Curtis, a Web.com Tour player, and then had plans to hang with friends in Miami.

Twenty one today, twenty one today. Congrats to Lexi Thompson

Thompson has just bought a fully-furnished model home last fall in Delray Beach, Fla., and plans to move in this spring.

“I basically walked into it and knew it was my dream house,” she said.

Thompson, now in her sixth year on the LPGA, seems a lock for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. With golf returning to the Summer Games for the first time since 1904, Thompson’s sponsor Red Bull clothed her in early-20th-century golf attire and gave the long bomber hickory clubs.

“That was their way of being extreme with golf,” she said.

The original idea was to have the old-fashioned photo shoot take place at the “Home of Golf” in Scotland. Instead, it took place at Thompson’s home course, Eagle Trace, in Coral Springs, Fla. Double layers of wool and a restrictive jacket on a hot day in South Florida?

Let’s just say Thompson got a new appreciation of the past.

“I don’t know how my swing would have done with those clubs back then,” she said.
