‘Chubby’s’ Smile Says It All As Danny Willett Wills Omega Dubai Desert Classic Title.

ISM’s ‘Chubby’ Chandler was certainly one of the more happier supporters to have seen Danny Willett capture last Sunday’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic title.

And here in ‘Chubby’s own words is his reaction to Willett’s success in Dubai.   Well done, Chubby and further congratulations to Danny Willett.

“There are many ways to win, but you just can’t beat the way Danny Willett did it in Dubai.

To cope with start to finish pressure is enough, but to see a three-shot lead disappear and then dredge up the courage to sink a 15ft birdie on the last to clinch victory is simply magnificent.

There is no telling where the Yorkshireman will end the season, but at the moment he’s in top gear and heading for the world’s top 10.

Who has the biggest smile? ISM's Chubby Chandler or star client Danny Willett?

Who has the biggest smile? ISM’s Chubby Chandler or star client Danny Willett?

And what a brilliant event to gain your fourth win and third in next to no time. The Omega Dubai Desert Classic is one of the best there is anywhere in the world and Danny has a rightful place among a great list of champions.

I certainly can’t wait to go back and I bet Danny feels exactly the same.  He finished second in The Race to Dubai last season and I wouldn’t bet against him going one better this time.

Ben An, last season’s rookie of the year, also had plenty of reason to smile as he gave further signs of just how quickly he’s becoming one of the world’s best.

A closing 65 took him to fourth while Dutchman Joost Luiten got his season off to a flier with another top 10 finish.

With five other of our players hitting the top 50 in Dubai, our season is well and truly off and running.

I expect plenty more to be first past the post before it ends.

Down Under, Ben Eccles claimed an impressive fifth place at the Victoria Open while Todd Sinnott continued his progress with another top 20.”
