‘Edinburgh Jimmy’ Breaks Driver In Bizarre Locker Room Incident.

Paul McGinley’s caddy Ian ‘Edinburgh Jimmy’ Rae was the center of bizarre incident ahead of tee off on day two when he opened McGinley’s locker and knocked the golf bag of South African Garth Mulroy to the ground snapping his driver.

“It was one of those simple mistakes that could have happened at any time,” said McGinley.

“Garth’s bag was sitting beside our locker and it just fell over but who would have expected his driver would snap.”

Fortunately, Mulroy had a back-up driver but it didn’t help in shooting a 75 to miss the cut by a shot at five over par while McGinley was headed straight for Charles de Gaulle Airport after scores of 76 and 73 and confirming he will contest the Scottish Open.
