Miguel Angel Jimenez, Europe’s Oldest-Ever Winner, Now Sets Tour ‘Hole-In-One’ New Records … See The Video.

Spain’s Miguel Angel Jimenez has created another first in European Tour history.

Not only is Jimenez the Tour’s oldest-ever winner but he has not broken the record for the most holes-in-one after he aced the par three second hole on day two of the BMW PGA Championship.

And the pony-tailed Spaniard equaled the record for the most aces in a single season securing his third hole-in-one this year after last week having a hole-in-one that earned him 288 bottles of beer during the course of the Open de Espana while Jimenez also secured an ace during the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship earlier this year.

Jimenez broke the record with his 10th ace of his career after having shared the record of nine with Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie

It also is the second hole-in-one at Wentworth’s par three second hole this week after Scotland’s Craig Lee aced the hole on day one.

And it is the eighth hole-in-one at the second hole in the history of the BMW PGA Championship.

While his effort of three aces in a season matches the feat of Irishman Eamon Darcy (1991) and Scotland’s Elliott Saltman (2011).As well, the Tour advise it is the 31st hole-in-one on this year’s 2015 Race to Dubai Tour.

Just the main thing is I’ve got the right club in the hand and make  a good swing.  Have been very prolific this year, my third one this year with Abu Dhabi, Spanish Open last week, and now here, and also a couple of times from the middle of the fairway, that means that my irons, they are like darts,” said Jimenez.

And at 10 under par and only four adrift of the leading duo of Francesco Molinari and Byeong Hum AN, Jimenez could also break for a third time as the Tour’s oldest winner.

I break so many records, I still winning tournaments this year  this year not yet, but now holeinones, it’s nice and it’s a nice to feel the way I feel.  It’s nice,” he added.
