Marc Warren and his coach of some eight months Alan McCluskey were a standout duo during today’s (TUES) practice round in the WGC – Cadillac Championship at Trump Doral.

In fact, your author teased the duo they should have ‘volume switches’ fitted to their clothing given the brightness in walking the Sunshine State course.

The Callaway attached Warren, as you can see in the snaps below, was wearing a bright orange shirt and Alan an catching all-purple outfit.

However on a serious note it is Warren’s maiden appearance in the $US 9.25m event while McCluskey is on a second visit in working with fellow Scot Stephen Gallacher who shared sixth place a year ago.

And Warren, who played the back nine of the Gil Hanse redesigned layout, liked what he saw.

“It’s a really good layout from what I’ve seen and every shot you play you are going to have to think about it,” he said.

“The fairways are lined with bunkers or water while the greens are undulating and while I can’t name any golf courses like it off the top of my head, I’ve played many courses like this in the past.

“So I’m delighted to be here and looking forward to the week.”
