The following also is a message from the Association:-

“It is with much sadness that we record the passing of one of our members Kel Nagle.   As many of you are aware, Kel had been a member of the AGWA for quite a few years after he was elected as a winner of the Open Championship according to our constitution.

“The family has asked for no media contact until after all arrangements have been made and we will respect their wishes.  The Association will place a notice in the Sydney Morning Herald and will be represented at the service whenever it is held.

“The AGWA offers its sincere condolences to the Nagle family at this sad time.  Great champions and wonderful people are remembered for eternity and Kel’s name will live on forever in the world of golf.”
