An Eye On Tiger, A Lot Of Bull & A Red Mustang Convertible.

It was yet another tough day in the office for this golf writer.

Wednesday was spent walking the Isleworth Estate course with 14-time Major winning Tiger Woods.

I joined a number of the US leading golf journalists in following Woods around the course as he competed in the Hero World Challenge Pro Am.

And it was not just the golf journalists out on fairways of this exclusive Orlando course as also keeping an eye on Woods was new coach, Chris Como along with Media Manager, Glen Greenspan, a fellow named Chuck who is employed by Nike as Woods exclusive footwear consultant and who revealed he’s working on a 15th golf shoe for Woods since Woods signed with Nike.

At one point in the Pro Am Woods called Chuck over to have a conversation with him and with Chuck later indicating there will soon be a person appointed to solely work with World No. 1 Rory McIlroy on his golf shoes.

Accompanying Chuck was a fellow Nike employee named Amy who is more into the clothing side with the sports equipment giant and revealing that while there has been some clothing ‘clashes’ in the past the company ensures that neither Woods or McIlroy will ever play a tournament wearing the same attire.

A lot of bull!  Tiger Woods tees off the 10th at Isleworth as new coach, Chris Como looks on.

Also walking the fairways were members of the Tiger Woods Foundation while Woods mother, Tida made a welcome appearance at the back of the 14th green where she was mobbed for photographs.

The day’s work included getting a photograph beside a large black bull located on the 10th tee and ended sitting in the driver’s seat of a gleaming red Ford Mustang that leading photographer Fran Caffrey is proudly driving to and from  the tournament this week.

And there was no prouder ‘snapper’ than Fran heading back to our rented house this week driving down the I-4 with the top down.
