The Thailand Open will feature for a first time on the 2015 Race to Dubai schedule.

The European Tour has released the ‘early season’ schedule ahead of releasing the full list of tournaments no doubt during the course of next month’s season-ending DP World Tour Championship.

The Thailand Open will be played at the famed Black Mountain Club that has long sponsored a number of the Tour’s top players.

Black Mountain GC, ThailandAlso a highlight of the early part of the 2015 season is the change of date for the Maybank Malaysian Open and instead of being staged after The Masters the co-sanctioned event will take place the week after the 26th Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

And following the Malaysian Open will be another ‘national’ open in the February 19th commencing Hero Indian Open.

Nine of the 16 events announced on the schedule will be played in a different country.

That’s the good news but the disappointing news is that the Volvo Champions has been scrapped given Volvo is withdrawing its sponsorship from all but the Volvo China Open.
