USA Ryder Cup Pairings – Mickelson & Bradley A Must Says Miller.

American legend Johnnie Miller says the US Team can’t make the same mistake twice and not pair Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley over all four team matches at this week’s Ryder Cup.

The duo were unbeaten in their three Medinah matches before Mickelson surprisingly persuaded captain Davis Love 111 to rest he and Bradley from the Saturday afternoon Fourballs.

And Miller believes the Mickelson and Bradley over both Foursome and Fourballs encounters will put fear into their European rivals.

Miller said:  “I just think that’s a team that nobody on the European side necessarily wants to face.

“They’re just a perfect couple. It doesn’t have anything to do with what they did this year. It really doesn’t.

“I don’t think there’s even a prayer that that’s going to be broken up until they lose.

“They probably wouldn’t even get broken up if they lost the first two team matches. But having gone 3-0, I believe that when Mickelson basically told himself and Keegan that they couldn’t play that afternoon on Saturday, that that could have been the turning point in the Ryder Cup.

“I’m sure Phil wishes he had never said what he said.”

Mickelson is making his 10th Ryder Cup appearance since 1995 but only twice, in 1999 and 2008, has the five-time Major winner tasted success.

Bradley will tee up in Scotland for only his second Ryder Cup.
