Paul McGinley ‘Proud’ As Europe Win 2014 Ryder Cup – Watson Says Europe Deserve Success.

Paul McGinley singled out one word ‘Proud’ after leading Europe to victory in the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.

McGinley was on the side of the 15th green when Jamie Donaldson played what could be ‘The European Tour Shot of the Year’ when the Welshman landed his second shot to just 18 inches at the par four, 15th to give Europe the 14 1/2 points it needed to win a sixth Ryder Cup in the past seven years.

And losing USA captain Tom Watson was overheard in congratulating World No. 1 Rory McIlroy:  “Well done.  Europe deserved to win.”
