• It is Luiten’s fourth European Tour International Schedule victory in his 154th European Tour event.

• Moves to €1,359,927 in The Race to Dubai.

• Continues with his superb recent European Tour form. This is his third consecutive top five finish. He was tied fourth in the 71° OPEN D’ITALIA Presented by DAMIANI, tied fifth in the KLM Open and now first in the ISPS Handa Wales Open.

• His sixth top five finish of the 2014 season. This matches the most for this category, alongside Henrik Stenson.

• The third of his four events he has won when leading or sharing the lead going into the final round. The 2011 Iskandor Johor Open was the only one of his four wins he has not led with 18 holes to go.

• The 17th winner this season to win after leading or sharing the lead going into the final round.

• Extends his lead at the top of the list for most Dutch wins to two, over Robert-Jan Derksen.

• The first time that the Netherlands have managed European Tour victories in consecutive seasons, with Luiten winning in 2013 and 2014.
