Triple Major Winner Rory McIlroy Photographs Claret Jug On Top Of Parents Loo.

Triple Major winning Rory McIlroy has returned to competition for this week’s WGC – Bridgestone Invitational revealing he photographed the famed Claret Jug sitting atop of the ‘loo’ in his parents Belfast residence.

McIlroy made the revelation today ahead of teeing-up in Thursday’s commencing WGC – Bridgestone Invitational here in Akron, Ohio.

Check out the video and McIlroy’s response to Bob Harig’s question.

And while McIlroy spoke of his joy in being in possession of golf’s most famous trophy, he spoke too somewhat of his concern in seeing the Claret Jug passed among his friends when celebrating in Belfast.

“I was a little bit afraid when it’s sort of being passed around,” he said.

“But, no, it’s okay.  If you’re just in the company of your friends and people that you trust, it’s fine.

“Keegan (Bradley) was sharing a story with me today, when he won the PGA, he went to a bar near where we live in Palm Beach Gardens, and he said he was letting everyone in the bar drink out of it.

“And I was like, I know the people who hang out there in Belfast.  I wouldn’t let them drink out of that (laughing)

“But it’s cool to be able to share some of these stories with him.”
