Rory McIlroy Gets First Look At Gleneagles In Six Years.

Triple Major winning Rory McIlroy surprised many when he teed-up at Gleneagles for his first look at the PGA Centenary course in six years.

McIlroy arrived at the Ryder Cup host venue carrying his latest trophy – the famed Claret Jug – following his  stunning two-shot success in last Sunday’s concluding Open Championship.

It was the 25-year old’s first look at the Jack Nicklaus designed course since he competed in the 2008 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles and his only appearance in the Scottish event.

Since shooting scores of 76 and 74 to easily miss the cut, McIlroy has gone on to win three Majors, four other European Tour titles, three regular events on the PGA Tour, an Australian Open and an event in Shanghai.

However the photo of McIlroy at the 10th hole and with an Omega backdrop will certainly not please rival Swiss watch-maker Rolex who are one of the major sponsor’s of this year’s Ryder Cup.
