‘Golf In Dubai’ Unveil Striking New Look For Desert Classic & MENA Tour.

‘golf in DUBAi’ will unveil a striking new look during the forthcoming Omega Dubai Desert Classic, Omega Dubai Ladies Masters and MENA Golf Tour events, thanks to a new partnership with exclusive Italian designers, Conte of Florence.

Positioned as the Official Apparel Supplier for the organisers and promoters of Dubai’s premier golf events, the Italian fashion powerhouse has designed an exclusive range of clothing, using quality fabrics for a premium look and feel.

A ‘Total Look’ sportswear company with ties to the professional sports world of skiing, golf and sailing, Conte of Florence has been a notable presence in the global fashion industry since its inception in 1952, but this will be their first foray into the Middle East market.

From their initial sponsorship of the National Italian Alpine Ski Team in 1969 to their first venture into the golfing world in the eighties, the Conte of Florence profile has grown significantly, characterised by an extensive portfolio of sports sponsorships, including the 2014 Word Corporate.

With the likes of Costantino Rocca, Robert Karlsson, Diana Luna, Emanuele Canonica, Alex Levy and Zane Scotland, who is also a golf in DUBAi ambassador, sporting their iconic ‘C and lily’ logo on their shirts, Conte of Florence has put its mark firmly on the golfing world.

“We are proud to be associated with a company whose credentials in organizing and promoting world-class events are second to none. We both stand to benefit from a close working relationship, which has the potential to grow from strength to strength,” said Massimo Tassinari, CEO of Conte.

“Our bond with golf has an emotional ring to it as the first golf club in Italy was born in Florence, which is also the birthplac-e our company — and these golfing origins were the initial inspiration behind the Conte of Florence brand,” he added.

“Golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the Middle East where the number of courses and the number of rounds played each year have risen exponentially. We hope our partnership will enable us to be part of that success on the global stage.”

Mohamed Juma Bumaim, vice chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi, welcomed Conte of Florence to the company’s family of sponsors, saying: “We are delighted to have a leading Italian clothing label as our Official Apparel Supplier and look forward to enjoying a mutually beneficial partnership over the coming seasons.

“Conte of Florence’s innovative, yet stylish sports garments are designed to appeal to all sports enthusiasts. We are looking forward to wearing their new range during our tournaments.

More importantly, the tie-up with Conte of Florence represents an expression of faith in the golf industry in the region and aligns well with our strategy to place Dubai as a destination of choice,” he added.

‘golf in DUBAi’ is backed by OMEGA as the title sponsor and Dubal (Dubai Aluminium) as sponsor.

The confirmed co-sponsors are: CNN, Drydocks World & Maritime World, Gulf News and wasl, while Dubai Duty Free, Carpetland and Motivate Publishing are the Patrons in golf in DUBAi’s drive to showcase the emirate’s vibrant golfing scene to a worldwide audience.
