Double Masters champion Bubba Watson continued to keep life simple in the hours after his Augusta triumph.

The small town boy from Bagdad, Florida, who now proudly owns two green jackets, didn’t dine out later that night within the four walls of the stately Georgian clubhouse or for that matter a posh Augusta restaurant.

Instead, Watson chose the Waffle House on Washington Road to savour his three-shot success.

And Watson, dressed in his green jacket, white shirt and tie for a series of US TV interviews yesterday (TUES), has revealed his choice of food after joining a select group of players to win two Major Championships.

“I’m not big on fancy food, and wearing this tie is not really comfortable on me, so for me it had to be the Waffle House, and who doesn’t love Waffle House,” he said.

“It’s good ole cooking, so I had two grilled cheese sandwiches and smothered hashbrowns.”
