Birthday Boy Graeme McDowell Turns 34 Looking To Celebrate With Bridgestone Success.

Graeme McDowell today celebrates his 34th birthday playing a practice on the Firestone Country Club course ahead of this week’s $US 8.75m WGC – Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio.

McDowell has already won three times this year and along with American Phil Mickelson is the only player to have won both sides of the Atlantic in season 2013.

And if McDowell triumphs this week in Ohio he will join World No. 1 ranked Tiger Woods with four victories this year.

Among the first to congratulate McDowell was Caroline Wozniacki and the girlfriend to good friend and fellow US Open champion, Rory McIlroy.

Wozniacki said on Twitter:-    Happy Birthday @Graeme_McDowell !! Hope @kristinstape will spoil you today!

McDowell missed the 54-hole cut in last week’s RBC Canadian Open and revealed on his Twitter account he had spent Monday playing a practice round at Oak Hill and venue for next week’s final Major of the season, the PGA Championship.
