Ernie Els teamed with England’s Paul Casey, Spain’s Sergio Garcia and BMW International Open organiser, Marco Kaussler to win a bizarre cow-milking contest last night at the Players Party.
Els and his fellow ‘cow-milking’ teammates were dressed in traditional Bavarian and Austrian Lederhosen or leather breeches while their female opponents in Pollyanna Woodward (girlfriend to Paul Casey), Gala Alten along with Kate Aiken, wife of South African Thomas Aiken were each dressed in traditional women’s attire.
The contest was overseen by European Tour Chief Referee, John Paramour.
For the record, it was the men who ‘produced the most milk’ from the mechanical cow.
Many of the players competing here in Germany joined in to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the prestigious German event including Argentina’s Tanyo Goya and his Scottish European Tour Ladies Tour girlfriend, Carly Booth.
There was a range of activities to keep guests entertained and with www.golfbytourmiss.com learning today (Sat) that some guests, and no names will be mentioned, didn’t make the sack to 5.30am.
But a special thanks to BMW for hosting such a wonderful celebration of 25 years sponsorship of the BMW International Open.
