Rory McIlroy has sparked rumours that he is about to set up home in Florida with his superstar tennis girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki after he put his £2m mansion in Northern Ireland on the market.

The double Major Champion bought the five-bedroom Irish house three years ago to share with his former girlfriend Holly Sweeney but they broke up last year ending their six-year relationship, the Daily Express reported.

The house, which is set in 14 acres in Moneyreagh, south-east of Belfast, has a golf practice area, driving range and a stone barn converted into a gym.

The golfer tells prospective buyers in the sales brochure: “I have really enjoyed living here. It is a really special place, which has allowed me to relax and unwind – when I get time.

“The house has always been busy with friends and family and has suited us on all occasions.”

McIlroy will move temporarily to his rented home beside the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter, Florida.

But it is believed that he will soon start house hunting for his own property in the area with Monaco-based Caroline, the 22-year-old Danish former world number one.

And Wozinacki finally bounced back into the winner’s circle over the weekend capturing the Korean Open.
